Russ ah but we need to be careful.what we wish for lol.
I It's unbelievable that the media narrative is that ETH is about to be sacked at Man U despite getting them.into a Europa league.spot and an FA Cup final because they have the right to expect Champions league apparently, yet we have to.count ourselves lucky to have a manager who has hardly won this calender year and had we not amassed points up until December would have had us in a relegation fight now.
Thanks for what you have done Moyes but it's time to move on.

Bang on.
Even Moyes supporters concede that his approach is, at best, pragmatic, others even concede that his approach is, at worst, anti-football. But they argue that he is hard to beat and gests results.
Well, their issue is that the "hard to beat" argument doesn't exist anymore. We have been beaten by conceding four goals or more a total six times this season. In the Premier League we have conceded a total of 65 goals - The highest goals against total out of all the teams apart from three - The bottom three of Luton, Burnley and Sheff Utd.
As for getting results, another flawed argument. In 2024 we have won just 4 games from 22. It's a win rate of 18%. We have lost 9 and draw 9. A loss rate of 41%. We have people saying that a manager that loses 41% of his matches in charge is a man that 'gets results'.
Since January we have been knocked out of the League Cup, FA Cup and Europa League all in rather soft and uncommitted fashion (despite a better 2nd home leg against Leverkusen). And we have slipped from 6th on 33 points to 8th amassing just 16 points in the calendar year. And looking very likely that we will end up 11th if teams below us nick points from their games in hand.
And this, all from a man that hides behind this facade of a stable, defensive minded coach that gets results.
Quite frankly its a joke how this man has any support.

The comments below all suggest, quite rightly, that Moyes doesn't trust in his players, certainly not his defence, if his brand of football is anything to go by and lord knows what established players think of that. Must ravage confidence and leave a sense of frustration at the very least. Bowen, Paqueta (at his best), Kudus, Antonio (at his best) all have attacking intent and a goal threat and yet we sit on the edge of our own box. I said the other day the best way to not concede is to keep the ball as far away from your own goal as possible.

excluding Phillips, the jock minge has been in charge of a squad this season that collectively (including the players he moved on in January) has a total of 570 international caps. all that experience and he plays the most turgid brand of football ever to exist

It appears that we now have nothing worthwhile to discuss. The season is over and Moyes ain't going anywhere for at least 3 weeks.
See you on the 19th May :-)

Yeah, some people seem to be in a weird parallel universe where we're having a better season than Spurs. It's really bizarre.
They lost one of the best players in their history in the summer, the current England captain, yet they've still scored more goals than us, conceded less goals than us, are in with a shout of Champions League football with a couple of games to go, mostly playing football we could only dream of watching.
We have shit-housed our way what looks like ending up 10th place in the Prem (we'll finish behind BOURNEMOUTH) playing the worst brand of football I've ever seen us play, by an absolute mile, all with a keeper on £100k a week who has saved our bacon on numerous occasions, £100mil worth of centre backs, 4 international centre midfielders that cost £140mil including Brazils best midfielder (I've not inlcuded Phillips in that, btw) Kudus and Bowen who would walk into most teams in Europe.
But let's get the bunting out, because Spurs lost 2-3 at home to Arsenal (let's forget our 0-6 DRUBBING). What on earth are some of you plebs taking, blimey.

The Moyes lovers have some weird obsession with Spurs.
twoleftfeet was boasting about something similar when Spurs went 3-0 down (I think we were 5-0 at that stage in our game against Arsenal).
Proper weirdos.

Yep ..Moyes should just tell him to play forward every single second he is on the pitch, how daft that would be no modern player plays like that or is asked to by any manager.
Unless your that fat fool who is in charge of Spurs and see what happens when you do.
Spurs appreciation fans on here are not happy this morning- good .

Re: Paqueta

What we are seeing here is a rather tedious game within a game. Paqueta knows a good performance from him increases the chances of Moyes being here next season, which is something he truly does not want; so he’s playing at 50% capacity. Didn’t even come over to celebrate Antonio’s equaliser the other day. Moyes of course knows all this and keeps selecting him, hoping the player will do something to compromise himself so he can play the “I tried” card.
Like I say, it’s all getting a bit dull and tedious now because proper football is so much better, especially when Paqueta is playing for the team.

As good as he obviously is there’s no excuses not to push a shift in on huge wages, yesterday he was non existent, and the idiotic yellow which ruled him out for the second leg against frieberg was idiotic ,lucky he wasn’t sent off after a second wreckless challange. If he wants out he’s going about it the wrong way.top sides don’t want players with an attitude. We needed to perform more than ever to secure Eutpean place but he’s thrown a strop the prick.

Oh I know that mate, I've been on here going mad about it since he first done it, but as much as I disagreed with it, the fact he then signed Phillips (to add to the 4 international central midfielders we already had on our books) is just another level of madness.
I can't believe there are still some people that back this manager. I've give up judging any players now in the remaining games, it's utterly pointless.

I've forgot about this bloke until the summer now. For whatever reason he clearly won't be contributing in the remaining games, so he either goes (likely) or we wait until the new coach comes in.

Regardless of yesterday's game, it is mad to think the manager brought in Phillips with the clear intention of playing Paqueta permanently on the left wing to accommodate everyone. Crazy stuff.

Re: Paqueta

Absolutely love him and hate what Moyes has done to his natural game of enjoying Football with a massive grin on his face. Far far too often he's asked to chase back behind the ball, like all the rest of them and only then this season it's mostly been out on the left wing nowhere near the ball for the majority of the time.
And some fans thought Benrahma was the issue out there? See also Paqueta and now Kudus equally suffering from the same fate.... None of it is a coincidence just as Ward-Prowse form dropped off a cliff after an initial great spell when he first arrived.
The Player killer strikes again!
